This photo is one of my favorites. It was shot in Summer 2012 at the barn at the Franciscan monastery in Howard County. I used HDR software to pick up the extremely dark corners of the barn as well as the daylight sliding in through the crack of the door. The photo received the First Place award in the end-of-year competition for the Arundel Camera Club for Novice Color Prints. While I like the current iteration of the image, I am working on a second version that I hope to post sometime soon. It is interesting how a photo taken a few months ago seems to take on new meaning with subtle changes on processing. I guess that is the learning process.
