Burning Roof Ruins are among the most photographed on Cedar Mesa, Utah. The deep striations in the alcove roof take on the appearance of flames in the right light. I couldn't get uniform agreement on the name, burning Roof Ruin, but I think most viewers hiking in that particular canyon will recognize this well preserved ruin. I understand that if I revisit this location on a better day, the sun will cause the roof rock to burn even more brilliantly. Here's hoping for a better day.
