First Place in ACC's mono print competition with Birds as its theme. The photo was shot handheld with my Canon EOS R using my Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 lens. It was a cloudy winter Sunday at an animal refuge center in Howard County, Maryland. The owl posed nicely for the shot. Afterward, I worked the photo very heavily in Lightroom and Silver Efex Pro to bring out the texture of the feathers and still keep noise low.
