Honorable Mention in ACC's September 2019 Open Monochrome Print competition. It was shot handheld at Ellis Island, NYC with my Canon EOS R in a very dark room. I used both Silver Efex Pro and Luminar 2018 to accentuate and bring out the stark lighting in the dark room. It moved me because the peeling paint and bare floors emphasized the bare essentials provided immigrants in this room for medical care.
